REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURY

Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is an injury of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems that are often caused by repetitive tasks, receptive exertions, mechanical compressions or recurring awkward positioning.  Symptoms of repetitive strain injuries include:

  • Bursts of pain in the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders or back
  • The pain gets progressively worse with activities
  • Weakness or lack of endurance.
