KATHRYN DIBE, Registered Massage Therapist
Katie completed her studies in massage therapy at Georgian College at the end of August 2015. This experience exposed her to many different types of massage from sports massage to palliative care. Katie also had the opportunity to treat people of all age groups. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is an active member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
After graduating with honours at Georgian College and becoming registered with the CMTO, Katie launched her career in Kingston, Ontario, where she worked at City Spa 560. Although she enjoyed the historical sites of Kingston, after nine months Katie returned back to the GTA and is happy to be living and working in the Beaches community.
Katie’s massage style is client-focused and centers treatment plans around the client's goals. She is very knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology and uses this information to provide a precise and effective treatment. She incorporates a variety of techniques in her treatments such as trigger point release, myofascial release, Swedish techniques, joint mobilization, remedial exercises, hydrotherapy and many more.
As a recent graduate, Katie brings fresh ideas to the table and continues to stay up to date with evidence-based research involving massage and other forms of body work. She believes that routine therapeutic massage is very beneficial in prevention of every day wear and tear injuries, sport related ailments, and stress.
